As discussed in our guide on moving animations, copying (duplicating or cloning) timeline sections in Arttista follows a similar process with just one key shortcut difference.

Follow these exact steps to duplicate animation ranges:

1. Select the Range on Timeline

Define the frame block you want to copy: Hold Ctrl, click on the starting frame on the timeline, and drag to the ending frame. The selected range will highlight on the timeline.

2. Select Objects or Points in the Scene

Remember this fundamental rule: Arttista only duplicates animations for elements selected in the scene. * Select all objects on screen whose animation needs copying. If you select only the character’s head, only head animation keyframes copy to destination, leaving body keyframes untouched.

3. Copy to New Position (Alt + Drag)

With range set on timeline and objects selected on canvas: Hold Alt. * Click the first frame of the highlighted range, drag frame block to target destination, and release mouse.

Arttista duplicates frames, keyframes, object states, and interpolated data instantly to the new location.

Keep the core distinction in mind: Alt + Drag: Duplicates/copies selected range. Shift + Alt + Drag: Cuts/moves selected range.
