To move a section of animation from one point to another on Arttista’s timeline, use the Ranges feature combined with specific keyboard shortcuts.

The process for moving an animation section is as follows:

1. Select the Range on the Timeline

First, define which section of the timeline will be moved:

2. Select Objects in the Scene

A crucial rule in Arttista is that timeline operations strictly respect scene object selections.

3. Move the Animation to the New Position

With the range highlighted on the timeline and the objects selected in the scene:

When moving a range, the behavior of objects at the original position depends on a global setting in Arttista’s preferences:

★ How to Clear the Range Selection

After completing the move, you can remove the range highlight from the timeline by right-clicking it and selecting Clear Selection, or simply pressing Esc while hovering over the timeline.
